Travis Scott has made the most of his time over the last few days in support of his new album ASTROWORLD. The Houston representative performed at Lollapalooza on release night, headlined Osheaga the day after, and also hosted a .wav Radio episode on Beats 1 alongside Chase B where he debuted a bunch of unreleased material. Tonight, he caps off album release weekend with a headlining set at HARD Summer in Fontana, California.

At 17 tracks in length, ASTROWORLD is Travis Scott's most realized project to date, and serves as the continuation of his debut studio album Rodeo. "ASTROWORLD's been set in stone since Rodeo. My whole idea was, if you locked in to Rodeo, you definitely locked into ASTROWORLD," he told Zane Lowe prior to its release. "I’m just finishing the saga I started on my first album."

He tapped a number of artists and producers to contribute, including Drake, Frank Ocean, Hit-Boy, the Weeknd, Tame Impala, Frank Dukes, John Mayer, CyHi the Prynce, and Murda Beatz, among others. Close collaborator Mike Dean played an executive producer role.

Early reactions to ASTROWORLD from critics and fans alike have been positive. The album will also make a huge splash in its first week on the Billboard 200 chart, with a projected tally of 300,000 to 400,000 equivalent album units, according to Hits Daily Double. By comparison, his first two albums, Rodeo and Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, earned a combined 173,000 album units (the latter project was an Apple Music exclusive for its first two weeks). That projected tally will easily score Scott another No. 1 debut.
