Montreal talent GrandBuda has been making quirky, genre-bending music for a while now. The rapper-DJ has built quite the reputation in his city for delivering off the wall tracks that are as fun as they are mind-bending — take a listen to the dark, 808s & Heartbreak-inspired trip, "Yeah Yeah Yeah" and see for yourself. Aside from these melancholic vibes, Buda's catalog is also packed with uptempo bops and thankfully, judging by this new release, it looks like bangers are in the musician's vault of unreleased music.

Earlier this week, Buda linked up with fellow Montrealer Maky Lavender for a playful tune called "Brand New". The colourful track is armed with a warped synth lead that pierces through a bouncy bassline, and has the two emcees spitting about Obama, Bella Hadid, and their momma's car. "Brand New" also comes to us with a visual component that matches the song's hilarious energy. In the music video, Buda rolls around a scrapped whip while Maky dances between two CGI models. It's hard not to smirk through the entire experience.
