A conversation between T.I. and Candace Owens about her support for Trump got heated at the Revolt Summit. Now, the Atlanta rapper has shared what he really thinks about Owens’ political beliefs.

“Let me start off saying she’s a sister and I support her brilliance—understanding that she’s a sister that happens to be using her brilliance adversely,” T.I. said on Big Boy’s Neighborhood, around the 7:15 mark. “I’m not necessarily against her personally but a lot of views and a lot of the rhetoric that she spews is dangerous.”

T.I. continued, “I’m not saying every black person has to be a Democrat… I’m not speaking on behalf of or in support of the Democratic party or the Republic party. I’m speaking for fair, righteous and decent. There’s just certain things that you have to understand you can’t say… I don’t want it to come off in any way disrespectful or it’s a me against her thing. It’s a me against what she’s saying thing—a me against what I feel she’s representing type thing.”

T.I. also shared his viewpoint on people of color who support Trump: “I think it’s a bit self-serving. I think they see what they can gain from the administration. Don’t get me wrong, if you make a little money, there are some perks. I’m not gonna argue against the perks.”

He added, “But at the same time, I’m not going to pretend that this shit is right because I know it isn’t… And if I ever had a decision to make where you can keep these perks if these people stay in office or you may lose the perks, but you’ll have fair representation for the greater good of all, then I’ma go with the fair representation for the greater good of all.”

During the panel, the conversation between T.I. and Owens turned to Trump's controversial slogan “Make America Great Again,” which some Trump's opponents view as racist. T.I. pushed Owens to answer what era of America Trump wants the country to revert back to; however, Owens evaded the question. "Please answer this," T.I. said. "When you say ‘Make America Great Again,’ which period are we talking about? The period when women couldn’t vote, the period when we were hanging from trees, or the crack era? Which period in America are you trying to make America like again?"
