Cops have apprehended Obie Trice and the rapper now faces two charges.

Trice was booked in Michigan on Friday for aggravated felony assault of a family member with a gun and contempt of court for violating a protective order, TMZ reports. He’s still in jail, with bail set at $16,900. Police sources tell TMZ a neighbor phoned police after hearing yelling and loud noise from Trice's home; he was reportedly arguing with a woman he lives with. "Our sources say the woman's son got in the middle of the argument, a gun went off, and the son was shot," the site writes. "The son then drove himself to the hospital for treatment...he's in stable condition."

Trice played a huge role in Eminem’s prime days, signing to Shady Records in 2000. Trice contributed to the 8 Mile soundtrack, the D12 album Devil’s Night, and was the voice of the famous opening line on Em’s song “Without Me.” Trice left Shady Records and launched his own label, Black Market Entertainment, in 2010.

Eminem has also had his own troubles lately. In his guest feature for Fat Joe’s “Lord Above”—which appears on Joe’s recent Family Ties album—Em addressed Nick Cannon wanting to fight him over Mariah Carey. He referenced his previous issues with the former couple and comments that Cannon made in September 2019 about how “he went looking” for Em after he dissed Carey.

“Almost got my caboose kicked/Fool, quit, you not gon’ do shit,” Eminem raps on “Lord Above.” Elsewhere, he calls Cannon “whipped” and says Carey is a “nut job.”
