Kamaiyah’s following up her latest video for “The Wave” with the DJ Mustard-produced cut “Addicted to Ballin,” featuring Schoolboy Q.

On the song, the two artists make a West Coast connection that appropriately knocks. Kamaiyah teased the collaboration on social media:

As well as discussed how it came together. "I sent him one record originally and he wasn't really feeling it; he was in a different vibe. So he came in and hopped on one record, and I was like, 'Yo, play that other record.' Kamaiyah said she stepped out of the studio for a minute, and when she returned Schoolboy had his verse ready to go.

Kamaiyah dropped off her 10-track mixtape Before I Wake back in November. After the release, she took to Instagram to describe why she had “felt trapped” in terms of her creativity, largely due to the loss of her brother and an ensuing deep depression.

Around that time, she also shared that she’s working on a featureless project called Woke, with the idea of releasing the two projects back-to-back to make up for lost time caused by the delay of her debut studio album.
