Lil Uzi Vert Teases ‘Lil Uzi Vert vs. The World 2’ With New Song Snippet
Lil Uzi Vert teased a new track on Instagram this weekend.
Lil Uzi Vert is ready to take on the world—once again.
Weeks after the release of his chart-topping Luv Is Rage 2 album, Uzi Vert posted a teaser that suggests another project is headed our way. The Instagram video shows the rapper inside a dark room lip-syncing to a never-before-heard track.
“What you thought I wasn’t gonna come through?” Uzi Vert sings. “What, you thought I wasn’t gonna get comfortable/You know I wouldn’t do this if it was true […] I know what I can and what I can’t do/I know every time that I’ma come through.”
He captioned the video with “Just a Vibe” followed by a series of emojis that tease a sequel to 2016's Lil Uzi Vert vs. The World. “Money Longer" and “You Was Right” were the lead singles and it featured production by Metro Boomin and Maaly Raw.
While Lil Uzi Vert. Vs. The World 2 could become a real project, the 23-year-old rapper is said to be in the early stages of his "rock" album, which will reportedly include contributions from Marilyn Manson. Manson revealed the news during a recent interview with Consequence of Sound.
“He wants to do a rock album next, and I would love to see that happen because I think that he could make a new thing,” the artist said. “Not some rock/rap type of thing, something special and new that I think needs to be created just to fuck the world up more.”
