Latto has her foot firmly planted on the gas pedal.

Days after her “Big Energy” cut broke the Hot 100’s top 20, the ATL rapper returned with her much-anticipated track “Wheelie,” featuring 21 Savage. Latto began teasing the song back in February, but remained tight-lipped about which artist would handle the assist. She told fans the mysterious feature was a parent, a diamond-certified act, and a previous Met Gala attendee, prompting many to throw out names like Cardi B and Nicki Minaj; however, Latto quickly shot down those theories when she confirmed it was a male artist.

WHO EVEN SAID IT WAS A FEMALE? LMAO BYEEEEEE!!!!!

Fast-forward to this week, when Latto unveiled the cover art for “Wheelie,” in which she is seen posing alongside 21.

You can check out the “Wheelie” video, directed by Colin Tilley, above; and stream the song now on all major platforms. The track serves as the second single off Latto’s sophomore studio album—the follow-up to 2020’s Queen of da Souf. That project included Latto and 21’s first collaboration, “Pull Up,” as well as her breakout single “Bitch from da Souf.”

Upon the release of “Wheelie,” Latto also stopped by for an interview with Hot 97 where she spoke about her run-in with Nicki Minaj’s fanbase after she teased a collaboration with an unnamed rapper.

“I’d love a record with either one of them, but it’s like, them is not the only two people that y’all can narrow down from [my tease],” she explained at the 14:00 point. When the song came out, it featured 21 Savage, and some got upset because they assumed it would be Nicki or Cardi B. “They get mad at me because y’all made yourself believe one thing,” she laughed.
