Kim Kardashian Was Reportedly Obligated to Promote the Woman Who Purchased Her Mansion

Sources say the reality TV star agreed to befriend and promote the music career of Marina Acton, the aspiring pop singer who bought Kim's Bel-Air mansion for $17.8 million.

At the end of 2017, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West sold their Bel-Air mansion for a jaw-dropping $17.8 million, after purchasing it for only $9 million in 2013. The record-breaking sale made plenty of headlines and left a lot of people, including real estate experts, scratching their heads: How exactly did Mr. and Mrs. West nearly double their investment in only four years? Well, it seems the woman who purchased the mansion received a lot more than an extravagant, overpriced home.

According to The Blast, the real estate deal required Kim to promote the music career of Marina Acton, an aspiring pop singer who bought the home back in November. Sources claim Kim agreed to attend a certain amount of public appearances in support of Acton, who is married to the billionaire co-founder of WhatsApp. Kim has been spotted hanging out with Acton several times in Los Angeles, and has also featured the singer in a number of social media posts.

Shortly after she purchased Kim’s friendship the home, Acton spoke to TMZ about her investment, insisting she was not influenced by the couple’s fame.

“It’s an artistic house and I want to build a studio there. It’s very inspiring,” she said before heading to dinner with Kim. “It has nothing to do with celebrity status. Absolutely not.”

Sources told The Blast that Acton never fully moved into Kim and Kanye's former home. The singer has since placed the mansion back on the market with an asking price of $18 million.
