2018 was a busy year for Kanye West.

Last spring, the multi-hyphenate announced he would deliver a handful of seven-track projects, four of which were under the G.O.O.D. Music banner. In addition to recording his eighth solo studio album (Ye) and a collaborative album with Kid Cudi (Kids See Ghosts), Kanye also executive produced projects by Pusha-T, Nas, and Teyana Taylor—all of which were released over five consecutive weeks.

In order to pull this off, Kanye needed to maximize his focus and minimize his distractions; so, the rapper decided to pack his bags and head to Jackon Hole, Wyoming, where he would conduct weeks-long recording sessions with some of the biggest names in the game. Ricky Anderson, Kanye's cousin and the head of A&R at G.O.O.D. Music, described the Wyoming Sessions as a "unique" experience, and suggested Kanye was headed back to the Cowboy State.

"It was a lot of work. Kanye built a little studio spot in his room, and we would all sit in his bedroom and work on music and shoot different ideas to each other," Anderson said during the latest episode of the Off Beat podcast (1:02:25). "[...] The creative space there is really open and unique."

Anderson discussed the surreal experience with Off Beat co-host Mir Harris and comedian Jerrod Carmichael, who got to experience the sessions first-hand. After he and Carmichael reminisced about their favorite Wyoming moments, Anderson seemingly confirmed that Kanye was headed back to the state for a second round of recording sessions.

"Yeah, we gonna do that again," Anderson said (1:04:55).

"You are?" Harris responded.

"Ah, shit. I'm talkin' too much," Anderson said.

The G.O.O.D. Music exec didn't expand on his comments, but many fans assume Kanye will return to Wyoming to work on his long-awaited Yandhi project. The album was originally set to drop back in September, but has been postponed indefinitely.
