NPR concludes its Black Music Month celebrations with a stellar performance by Denzel Curry.

The 27-year-old rapper recently stopped by NPR’s D.C. headquarters to participate in its Tiny Desk Home Concertseries. Curry was joined by fellow vocalist DJ POSHtronaut and his nine-piece Cold-Blooded Soul Band, which included a bassist, guitarist, drummer, flutists, a few of trumpeters, and more.

Curry kicked the show off with a performance of “Melt Session #1,” a standout cut from his 2022 release, Melt My Eyez See Your Future. He followed that up with “Walkin” and the T-Pain-assisted “Trouble,” both of which appeared on his latest studio album. Curry went on to treat the audience to performances of “DIET_” off his and Kenny Beats’ 2020 joint project Unlocked; and “CLOUT COBAIN | CLOUT CO13A1N,” from his 2018 effort TA13OO.

“We We low key breezed through this bitch! That’s great for two rehearsals, n***a, like goddamn,” he said before wrapping up the concert. “We gotta go out with a bang now. Let’s get this shit.”

Curry then dove into a performance of “Ricky,” the lead single off his 2019 studio album, ZUU.

“You know I killed that shit.” he said at the end of the gig. “You know I murked that shit! I’m lookin’ at y’all motherfuckers .”
