The Weeknd Connects With Summer Walker for Remix of "Best Friends"

The Weeknd—fresh off releasing the animated video for “How Do I Make You Love Me?”—returns with another remix of a track from his 'Dawn FM' album.

Fresh off enlisting Sebastian Ingrosso and Salvatore Ganacci for the remix of “How Do I Make You Love Me?” The Weeknd has connected with Summer Walker for a new version of one of his Dawn FM tracks.

The remix of “Best Friends” comes shortly after the The Weeknd praised the R&B singer for her guest appearance. In response to a pair of tweets announcing the track’s forthcoming release, the Toronto artist wrote, “She fucking CRUSHED it” and “she carried.”

The Weeknd is on the road for his After Hours Til Dawn stadium tour. The 18-date trek is set to see the singer perform in Miami, Atlanta, Vancouver, Las Vegas, and more. The tour will conclude in Toronto on Sept. 22. 

In other news, The Weeknd shared the teaser for his HBO Max series The Idol during his gig at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium. The six-episode drama was co-created by The Weeknd, Reza Fahim, and Euphoria creator Sam Levinson. It will star Lily-Rose Depp, Troye Sivan, Jennie Kim, Debby Ryan, Rachel Sennott, and more. The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, will also act on the show.
