Just two weeks after revealing he’s already recorded an album worth of new material, Kid Cudi is now teasing new music with Young Thug.

Cudi took to Twitter over the weekend to reveal he’s recorded two collaborations with Thugger, who was indicted on racketeering charges back in May, with YSL’s RICO trial scheduled to begin on Jan. 5, 2023.

“I got 2 songs w Thug I did last year,” Cudi tweeted. “1 of them goin on the new album the other he’ll use. These songs are fuckin INSANE. Im tellin u. U have no idea.”

The news arrives a few weeks after Cudi teased a new album on social media.

After telling followers that he recorded six new songs in three days, the Cleveland artist hopped on Twitter earlier this month to update fans on his creative spurt, which has evolved into an album worth of material.

“11 songs in 5 days,” he wrote. “My goal was to do a whole new album worth of songs this week. 12 was my goal. Might get to 14.”

During another series of tweets this past weekend, Cudi shared a recovery story while he was in rehab after the release of his “Frequency” video.

“I was in rehab when the frequency video came out,” he wrote. “I shot it, then went on a 2 week cocaine run. Edited the video sneaking into the bathroom to do bumps. Then, I woke up one day and said, ‘Ima die if things dont change.’ So, I made sure things changed.”
