Jacquees, born Rodriquez Broadnax, is facing charges after the R&B singer was arrested Saturday morning following an altercation with police.

As reported by XXL, Jacquees has been charged with Simple Battery and Willful Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officers, both misdemeanors in the state of Georgia.

The incident took place Saturday morning, after a police officer attempted to pull over Jacquees for not wearing a seatbelt.

“The defendant did not obey my command and instead kept driving the vehicle at a low rate of speed with heavy traffic still northbound on Ocean Drive,” the arresting officer reported in his arrest statement. “He was then asked again to pull over and to provide me with his driver’s license. The defendant once again refused to obey a lawful command from this officer.”

The officer claims Jacquees refused to obey his commands, at which point he was forced to request back-up.

“Additional officers had to be requested in emergency mode due to the large crowd gathering and the defendant still not complying," the statement read. "It should be noted that the defendant’s actions disrupted the peace and quiet and public morals of bystanders on a busy spring break day on ocean drive in Miami Beach."

Jacquees was booked in the county jail at 1:26 a.m. The singer, whose mugshot has since gone viral, was released hours later, around 8:46 a.m., after paying a $3,700 bond.
