SpotemGottem was arrested in Miami on Sunday night after reportedly attempting to flee from cops on a jet ski.
NBC Miami reports the Jacksonville rapper, whose real name is Nehemiah Harden, has been charged with eluding a law enforcement officer by boat, a felony, and reckless operation of a boat, a misdemeanor.
SpotemGottem’s arrest came after police attempted to pull him over when they saw him speeding on a jet ski near Miami Marine Stadium. The 20-year-old is accused of then accelerating and swerving through boats and swimmers in the area. According to Local 10 News, police say SpotemGottem endangered lives and property during the pursuit.
SpotemGottem reportedly appeared in Miami-Dade County court on Monday after spending a night behind bars.
SpotemGottem was out on felony bond from a July 2021 incident in which he was arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at a parking lot attendant during an altercation in Miami. He was subsequently charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and accessory after the fact to a felony.
Back in September, SpotemGottem was hospitalized after getting wounded in a drive-by shooting in Florida. The shooting stemmed from a road rage incident in which another car pulled up alongside the rapper’s vehicle and opened fire, and SpotemGottem suffered gunshot wounds to both his legs.
