In his interview with Speedy Morman for 360 With Speedy Morman, rapper Moneybagg Yo offered some advice for Memphis Grizzlies player Ja Morant amid his off-the-court incidents.

"Unfortunately, the situation going on with it right now... He 23, I feel like it's just a phase," said Moneybagg at the 38-minute point of the episode, as seen above. "Like, when I was 23.... It was like I was just doing stuff and people had to tell me, or I had to bump my head. So I'm grateful to make it out those situations. Some people don't even shake back from certain situations, you feel me."

Moneybagg suggested that if it wasn't for those around him as he was making it big, he might not be here still. Ja Morant is only 23, which means he still has plenty to learn when it comes to handling himself and his fame. "I just look at it, like, this one of them phases, bro," he continued. "Ja gonna snap out of it, and of course I gave him encouraging words. He was like, 'I appreciate that big bro, I got you. I'm gonna get it right.'"

Ja Morant has been courting controversy since last summer. According to a report, Morant's mother got into a dispute at a Finish Line store which resulted in him bringing his crew to the shop, during which they threatened the mall's head of security. Around the same time, he was accused of punching a teenager in the head. Earlier this year, he allegedly shined a red laser at Indiana Pacers staff, and then he was spotted flashing a gun on his Instagram Stories, which resulted in a suspension. He was later spotted flashing a gun a second time.

Deputies were sent to Ja Morant's residence earlier this week after he shared a number of concerning posts on his Instagram Stories. In one of the posts, he shared a message that simply read, "bye." Authorities confirmed that Morant was "fine," but also said he would be taking a break from social media for some time.
