Jadakiss has unleashed the video for his hard-hitting collaboration with Pusha-T, "Huntin Season." Following the two rappers as they walk through a house scattered with bodies, it's every bit as foreboding as the track itself.
The Trey Lions-directed video starts with a warning from Jadakiss about the violence depicted in the song and the video. "The lyrical content should not be taken literally. The artists and makers do not condone violence of any kind," the opening statement reads. "The content of this video is purely meant to express an artistic point of view in a tasteful and respectful manner. All props and violent imagery represented are merely used for the overall visual aesthetic and should not be taken seriously by any means."
The track, which is taken from the recently released album Ignatius, was originally pulled from streaming services in the wake of Pop Smoke's death. "The whole concept of "Hunting Season" and the hypothetical ideas of 'killing rappers' isn't sitting [well] with me while mourning [the] death of Pop Smoke," Pusha said on Instagram. "We held back to pay respect to Pop Smoke," added Jada. "It just didn't seem like the right time to release the song or the visual or the project, so we just pulled it back for a week."
The "Huntin Season" video is dedicated in loving memory of Pop Smoke.
