New York rapper Tru Life has been teasing new music for a little while now, but now he's finally delivered on his promise with the newly released "Baddie." With Future providing the hook and a verse before the two rappers begin trading bars, the Myles William and JayAreOnTheBeat-produced "Baddie" proves that these two make a great team.

Tru Life hasn't released anything substantial since 2007 with his second mixtape, Tru York. The rapper recently signed to Future's Freebandz label in 2017, indicating that new material was finally on the way. Back in 2011, Tru Life was sentenced to eight years in prison, pleading guilty to "gang assault." Since his early release from prison in 2016, he's been quietly working on new music. From the sounds of "Baddie," it's been worth the wait for new Tru Life material.

In other Tru Life news, he recently posted on Instagram explaining that he's been sharing cooking tips with Guy Fieri.

While it's a funny video, it must be said those chains don't exactly look appetizing. Expect to hear more from Tru Life later this year.
