Drake’s home in Los Angeles was reportedly broken into after a man got onto the property’s premises and alerted the rapper’s security, per TMZ.

According to authorities, officers responded to reports of a break-in on Thursday after his security noticed an unidentified man leaving the house with something in his arms. By the time the cops showed up, the man had already left. A search around the neighborhood was initiated, and the man fitting the description was later stopped and arrested by officers. It is believed that the man had taken something from Drizzy’s property, but it’s unclear what exactly he made off with. Drake was not present at the time of the break-in.

The 36-year-old rapper’s mansion has faced similar issues in the past, as a man was arrested for misdemeanor trespassing in July last year. When questioned by authorities, the 23-year-old suspect claimed that Drake was his dad. He only purchased the property last year for $75 million. It was previously owned by British singer-songwriter Robbie Williams, formerly of Take That.

The burglary comes not long after Drake performed at Harlem’s iconic Apollo Theater for two nights in a row. The show was met with near unanimous praise, including from Erykah Badu. During the shows he performed some of his most beloved tracks, and he was also joined by special guests including Dipset and 21 Savage. He also used the opportunity to tease the arrival of a new project this year, following the release of his two full-length albums in 2022.
