Consequence teamed up with Conway the Machine for "Complex Con" last year, and now the song has received the 88-Keys remix treatment. Flipping the production from the original into something a little more hard-hitting, 88-Keys still manages to keep the throwback vibe of the original intact.
"I played the ‘Complex Con’ remix for Kanye and his response was, ‘This remix is CRAZY. I gotta tell 88 this beat is hard,'" Consequence said of the remix.
The original version of the track is the first single from his upcoming album, Make Up for Lost Time. In an interview with Complex last year, Consequence said the project is set to feature some notable guests. Among those he name-dropped were the currently incarcerated YNW Melly, Chance the Rapper, and Chris Rock. "Of course, I have my son Caiden on the album," he added. More recently, he recruited Ant Clemons, Bongo ByTheWay, and Kaycyy Pluto for his track "Thanks Ye," which sees him paying his respect to the namesake of the song.
