It's been a tough year for Ariana Grande.
Before calling off her engagement with Pete Davidson, Grande faced the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller after an accidental overdose. It's taken a huge toll, with Grande paying tribute to her late former love with multiple songs and a tattoo. She's never shied away from telling the world how much she misses Miller, but her latest tribute disappeared sometime overnight after appearing online late Sunday, Dec. 30.
She posted a picture of Miller's hands on a piano on her Instagram Story, but it has since been deleted. Here's a screenshot:
The pair dated for two years before their split in May, and sources close to Miller say Grande was a positive force in his life, encouraging him to stay healthy even after they had parted ways.
“They were very much in love and I have to say, she was incredible when he was first sobering up,” Shane Powers said of how much Grande supported Miller's sobriety. “She was a fucking G to him. There could not have been anybody more supportive of him being sober than Grande. I saw that, I was around it. I took phone calls from her. ‘How do I help, what do I do?’”
Ariana Grande previously shared a tribute to Miller on Thanksgiving, posting a picture of the two of them together in 2017. Grande has made it clear that she's happy to say goodbye to 2018, writing on her Instagram, "farewell 2018, you fuck."
