Action Bronson has announced his new album Cocodrillo Turbo and shared the first single and music video, “Subzero.”

Directed by James Larese, the outrageous clip for the smooth track features Bronson boogie-boarding through a flooded, lightning-strewn city. He later gets washed up into a desert, where he’s joined by frequent collaborator the Alchemist as he drives an off-road vehicle, Mad Max-style. Everything else in “Subzero” has to be seen to be believed.

“Who the fuck else could it be?” Bronson told Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe of the new track. “Chorus? What the fuck is this? Bayside High School? What is this? Glee? I’m over here rapping, man.”

Upon announcing Cocodrillo Turbo, Action stated, “I first came up with this album while in the water. I’ve spent many lifetimes in the water. I’m just a water man. I was born in the water, I’m a water sign.”

As for features, he told Lowe, “Hey listen, it’s a lot of me. I got the lord Conway the Machine. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Produced by me. Yeah, stupid. Straight up muay thai. I got the young lord Daringer, of course. I got my man Roc Marciano…performing and producing. He’s just a rapper who could rapid control the mic stroke.” Hologram and Meyhem Lauren will also appear.

“It’s on like it’s never been on before I promise,” Bronsolino wrote on IG on Thursday. “Dr. Baklava is back again.”

Following the release of Cocodrillo Turbo on April 29, Bronson will set off on a world tour with Earl Sweatshirt and the Alchemist. The North American leg will kick off on May 1, while the European string of shows will continue from May 24 to June 9.

The record is the follow-up to his 2020 effort Only for Dolphins, which also featured Bronson rapping over beats from the Alchemist and Daringer. Just like that project, Action painted the cover art for Cocodrillo Turbo himself.
