Controversial New York rapper 6ix9ine has had a litany of legal issues ever since he came into the public eye, but almost every case so far has seen him get off with minimal punishment. TMZ is reporting that isn't going to change anytime soon, either, with the rapper pleading guilty to the alleged assault of an NYPD officer.
Showing up for court on Wednesday morning in Brooklyn, 6ix9ine, real name Daniel Hernandez, entered a guilty plea to disorderly conduct, and as such prosecutors dropped the misdemeanor assault charge against him. Cops arrested Hernandez back in May for driving with a suspended license, during which he allegedly squeezed an officer's hand. The judge gave 6ix9ine a conditional discharge for his disorderly conduct, granted he manages to stay out of trouble for a year.
Reportedly, if he lands himself in hot water again, he could face jail time almost immediately. This isn't the only time he's been told to stay out of trouble with the law, however, with him avoiding prison time back in October in his ongoing child sex case. Sentenced to four years of probation with a one-year credit, the 22-year-old is required to perform 1,000 hours of community service. He's also currently prohibited from participating in or associating with any gang activity.
Back in 2015, the rapper pleaded guilty to use of a 13-year-old girl in a sexual performance, which he filmed and posted online. He claimed he didn't know her age, and that the alleged victim had lied about it prior to the incident.
