Charlamagne Denies That Nicki Minaj Was Banned From 'The Breakfast Club'

Charlemagne tha God continues to be bewildered over Nicki Minaj's claims that he barred her from his show.

Minaj has spent the week claiming on her Queen Radio show and on Twitter that the host of The Breakfast Club has serious animosity toward her. She claimed he led a "hate train" against her from his perch on The Breakfast Club and extrapolated in a tweet.

"Charlemagne get so excited when he thinks some1 bout to say smthn negative about me. That tail get to wagging, that lil p*ssy get to poppin, he get to giggling," she wrote. "They banned me from the show but always talkn bout me. I’m pullin up cuz we in NY soon. I’d rather be invited tho js."

Charlemagne denied it in his next episode.

"Nicki and I have had conversations about this via phone call and via text message. We've had these discussions about this 'hate train.' It's not true," he said. "If she wants to believe that and wants her fans to believe that, it's cool."

"The moral of the story is I love Nicki Minaj," he continued. "And the respect she's telling everybody she deserves, she has already. I have gotten on this radio a million times and said this whole new wave of female rap is because of Nicki Minaj. She is the leader of the new school when it comes to female emcees and nobody can take that away from her."

Charlamagne shared a statement to Page Six reiterating that Minaj is always welcome.

“There was never a problem with her,” he said. “We never banned her from the radio station. There is not a consequence to what she has said now, or in the past. I don’t know why she is saying that.”
