Monday saw the release of a new interview with the artist formerly known as Kanye West, who’s currently fresh off the release of a song with the Game in which Pete Davidson gets put on notice.

This time around, Ye sat down with Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked. Ahead of the full release, clips were shared featuring headline-spurring comments from the Donda artist about a recent paparazzi incident (which he clarified did not involve “a fan” as previously claimed) and the reasoning behind his recent purchase of a home near Kim Kardashian.

Ye-related music updates as of late have largely focused on who he’s been photographed and/or filmed hitting the studio with in recent days. Fans were quick to point out the appearance of Big Sean, whose link-up with Ye (and others) was notable due to its occurrence not long after a certain Drink Champs controversy. Sean gets a mention in the newly released Lee discussion, with Ye loosely echoing some of what he previously said about the Detroit 2 artist.

Also getting mentions during Lee and Ye’s chat are Donald Trump, John Legend, Ice Cube, Jesus Christ, Bernie Sanders, and more. Bringing up Sanders during a larger talk on political matters, Ye referenced the Cardi B co-sign. “Bernie met with Cardi but wouldn’t meet with me,” he said around the 11:29 mark.

Beyond the ever-growing hype surrounding a teased Donda sequel, fans are also anticipating additional updates regarding the recently announced “creative exploration” from Ye and Demna titled Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga. As previously reported, Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga pieces will be rolled out “alongside continued Yeezy Gap releases.” The inaugural Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga drop (perVogue) is currently slated for some time in June, while a second drop is expected later in the year.
