Bubbling New York City rapper, Nick Blixky, was shot and killed, police tell CNN

The 21-year-old was found unconscious and unresponsive with "gunshot wounds to his torso and buttocks" on Sunday (May 10) in front of a building in Brooklyn's Prospect Lefferts Gardens neighborhood at around 9:30 pm local time. He was taken to Kings Country Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Per the authorities, Blixky was discovered after police received calls about a shooting in the area.

Nick Blixky was prepared to capitalize on this success. Just hours before he was killed, Blixky revealed that his debut mixtape, Different Timin, would be released in June.

"JUNE 3RD‼️ I’m dropping my first Tape ever," Blixky captioned an Instagram post containing the tape's cover art. "LOCK IN THE DATE. DIFFERENT TIMIN."
