The year is 2020, we're all fucking stuck in isolation, and Playboi Carti's Whole Lotta Red still hasn't crawled its way out into the world yet. Late Thursday, however, Carti was kind enough to respond to a quarantine-frustrated fan when hit with a Red-related inquiry.

In response to a fan's comment on Carti's first IG post (see above) in months, in which @playboicorty expressed disappointment with the Whole Lotta Red delay and noted that many fans are currently in quarantine, Carti handed out some gratitude and called for additional patience.

"[I] never left," Carti, who was inspiringly rocking the inverted cross in the IG post, said. "hey . stay wit meh . I o you da world n i kno it . I love u n everyone . N my universe "

Last July, fans were somewhat convinced that the album would be arriving within two months thanks to comments Carti gave to the crowd at an Eagle's Ballroom-set show in Milwaukee. The previous month, he let the Faderknow that the album—sessions for which kicked off in late 2018—was pulling from a catalog of possible tracklist choices that was 50 songs deep at the time.

And despite previous updates claiming the exact opposite, Carti has since stated the album will be a features-free endeavor, though that certainly could have changed since then.

In the meantime, we can all take solace in the fact that it appears all is well between Lil Uzi Vert and Carti, though the former seemed to be unaware of Carti's current location as recently as last week.
