Beyoncé-Approved Netflix Watch Party of 'Homecoming' Brings Unity to Social Distancing Era

Beyoncé RT'd the tweet that started it all, meaning there's certainly a chance she was watching along with fans.

There's a very real chance that Beyoncé herself joined in on Wednesday night's Netflix watch party of the 2019 concert film Homecoming, which famously documents the singer's widely celebrated performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Netflix's Jasmyn Lawson first proposed the watch party earlier this week, marking an act of unity amid potentially dire times that quickly caught on across Bey's reliably dedicated fanbase. "Can we all watch Homecoming as a group some time this week and relive that again?" she asked.

Alright, let's do this thing!

Eventually, this proposal bagged an RT from the singer, who's not exactly known for prolific social media use.

Following the conclusion of the watch party, which became a top trending topic overnight, Jasmyn reflected on how important moments like these are during times like these.

"I am so thankful and appreciate everyone who tweeted," she said. "The world is a mess right now. We need peace and love."

Below, see highlights from the Homecoming watch party. If you missed out on the festivities, fret not, as the documentary—written and directed by Beyoncé—is indeed still available on Netflix for easy on-demand viewing:
