Ariana Grande Files Restraining Order Against Fan Who Showed Up at Her L.A. Home

The obsessed fan was arrested Saturday and charged with misdemeanor trespassing and felony battery.

Ariana Grande is seeking extra protection from an obsessed male fan.

According to TMZ, the 26-year-old pop star filed a restraining order Friday against a man who unexpectedly showed up at her Los Angeles home. Officers told the outlet that the suspect managed to bypass security on Saturday and make his way to Grande's front door. It was there that man encountered the property manager, who informed him that the singer was not home. 

Police arrived at the scene shortly after and arrested the suspect who is said to be in his 20s. The man reportedly spat on an officer while he was being detained, and was found carrying a love note to Grande as well as directions to her residence. The fan was charged with misdemeanor trespassing and felony battery for the spitting incident.

TMZ reports Grande's mom is also seeking a protective order from the man.

Like many other Americans, Grande has been hunkering down amid the coronavirus pandemic. She has shared several messages via social media, urging her followers to be cautious and practice social distancing to slow the spread of the deadly disease. Grande recently announced she was donating to a number of organizations that provide assistance to small businesses and individuals affected by the crisis.
