Social media users are convinced Grimes is expecting.
On Wednesday afternoon, the 31-year-old artist shared a topless photo on Instagram and Twitter, in which she was sporting a noticeable baby bump. The picture, taken by Eli Russell Linnetz, was also Photoshopped to include an image of a fetus inside her stomach, igniting rumors that Grimes was pregnant with Elon Musk's child. The two first confirmed their relationship when they hit the red carpet together at the 2018 Met Gala.
They were most recently spotted hanging out with hip-hop royalty over the holidays.
Some fans initially speculated that the photo was strictly an artistic expression, rather than a pregnancy announcement. But several outlets have pointed to Grimes' subsequent comments that suggest she is expecting a child. In one of her comments, Grimes responded to a user who congratulated her on securing "Elon's coins" by getting pregnant: "I don’t need $ from a man, Grimes is self funded," she replied.
Still not convinced? Well, Grimes also referenced "being knocked up" in another comment.
