Smokepurpp has finally unleashed his Deadstar 2 album.

Fans have spent the last year and a half waiting for the project, which experienced multiple delays and restarts due to unauthorized releases.

"I really recorded this shit, like, four different times ..." Purpp recently told Power 105.1 about Deadstar 2. "Shit kept getting leaked. It would be six, seven songs would leak at a time, and that happened like three times."

The 22-year-old rapper remained pretty tight-lipped about the album, sharing very little details about what it'll deliver. He did, however, confirm that artists like Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Skies, Lil Pump, Moneybagg Yo, and Trippie Redd would contribute to Deadstar 2, which he described as his finest release yet.

"Just know it's definitely  my best body of work," he said. "You know the whole thing is executive produced by Mike Dean. So, sonically, it's just on a whole different level—it's a whole different ball game with this album. It's like a big level-up ... I love the album, and I think people are gonna love it too."
