Rapsody proved she’s still one of the best during her Funk Flex freestyle on Thursday.

During her session, she made mention of Drake getting booed on stage, the rappers who respect her, Nipsey Hussle’s legacy, and the Grammys. Watch it up top.

Rapsody took to Instagram on Wednesday, where she acknowledged being snubbed by the Grammys and ruminated on her disappointment with fans after the 2020 nominations were revealed earlier that day. While she was nominated in 2017 for Best Rap Album for Laila’s Wisdom, her new album Eve didn’t make the cut this year.

In her IG post, Rapsody expressed her gratitude for her supporters and gave a shout to Freddie Gibbs, whose Madlib-produced Bandana album didn’t earn any nominations either.

“Today.....disappointed. Yes. Frustrated...beyond. But, you have to tell yourself the good fight is never an easy one. And the people that are the faces of the purpose behind your art are what makes creating not empty: with awards. nominations, or none at all,” she wrote.

After the Grammy nominations were released, her initial reaction was just a shrug emoji on Twitter.

In 2017, Rapsody also earned a Best Rap Song nomination for “Sassy.”
