DaBaby is now a Grammy-nominated artist, earning a nod for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance, both for his song “Suge.”

He touched on the moment during a recent interview with Power 104.5 The Beat, saying, “I am Grammy-nominated, I am. It’s a beautiful thing—it’s a blessing. It’s nothing short of a blessing. It feels amazing. Been a long time coming.”

The Charlotte rapper also revealed that he and Lil Wayne have a “big” record on the way. “I got a song with Lil Wayne. That was amazing so I'm good, but there’s a whole bunch of other people I want to work with,” DaBaby told Angela Yee when asked about features on his bucket list.

DaBaby shared how the collab came about, saying Weezy reached out to him. “Nah, they reached out. They sent me a record and it's a big record too.” He also made a note of how influential Lil Wayne was to his generation: “That's the GOAT in my era, that’s the goat. That's probably who I was most influenced by music-wise growing up.”

Last week, when DaBaby found out that he was nominated, DaBaby took to Instagram and shared a video of P. Diddy hulking out alongside the caption, “Me getting off the plane to shoot this Footlocker commercial while finding out I just got nominated for 2 #GRAMMYS in my breakout year. #GODISGREAT,” he wrote, adding, “I’m a fuckin dawg. What’s next?”
