Majid Jordan took to social media last week to tease “something new.” And, thankfully for fans, the OVO duo didn’t disappoint.
On Thursday night, Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman came through with “Superstar,” their first proper single since the Khalid-assisted “Caught Up.”
At this time, it’s unclear if “Superstar” is a standalone record or part of a larger project—perhaps the long-awaited successor to their 2017 album The Space Between.
During a June interview with Exclaim!, Majid Jordan spoke about touring life, their hometown of Toronto, and their plans for the rest of 2019.
“We're working on so much. We have new music coming in a matter of weeks,” Maskati said. “…We love working together. We're brothers! I feel like I'm able to accomplish the most when I'm working with Jordan.”
“Superstar” is available to stream now on all major platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify.
