Young Thug will celebrate his 28th birthday with a gift to fans.
On Friday, the Atlanta rapper returned to Instagram to confirm the release date of So Much Fun, his first full-length solo project since 2017. He also unveiled the album's official cover art, which is an aerial shot of a bunch of Thuggers standing in a field forming an image of his face.
Thug has been teasing the project over the past several months, reassuring fans he was in "album mode," posting snippets of unreleased tracks, and announcing the title change from #GØŁDMØÜFDÖG to So Much Fun.
Sources close to Thugger previously told Complex that the album would be executive produced by J. Cole. A series of song previews have also indicated the album will be stacked with guest artists, including names like Lil Duke, Roddy Ricch, 21 Savage, Doe Boy, and Gunna.
Thug has yet to confirm the album's features or official tracklist, but his hit track "The London" is expected to make an appearance.
So Much Fun is slated to arrive on Aug. 16. Be sure to keep it locked as more details about the album become available.
Weeks after the drop, Thug will kick off his joint tour with Machine Gun Kelly. The North American trek will begin Sept. 30 in Toronto, and will make stops in Baltimore, Portland, Chicago, and Houston, before concluding Nov. 18 in L.A.
Thug is also gearing up to release Super Slimey 2with Future, Gunna, and Lil Baby. YSL Records has yet to confirm the project's release date.
