Tyler, the Creator has been reunited with his good friend ASAP Rocky and he couldn't be happier.
Outside of being creative partners, Tyler and Rocky have built a genuine friendship. Normally, Tyler displays his love for Rocky by subjecting the rapper to live-action trolls that make Rocky uncomfortable but also laugh uncontrollably. Since ASAP was hemmed up for close to a month, Tyler had a lot of pent up pestering that he unleashed on Rocky when they hit the studio.
In an Instagram Live session, Tyler chases Rocky around the studio while ASAP tries to hide from the camera. It's unclear what Tyler was annoying Rocky about, but it's great to see that the two have reconnected since Rocky's return from Sweden. Also, the fact the two were in the studio gives hope that a new Rocky/Tyler collaboration could drop in the near future.
Now that his friend his home, Tyler can fully enjoy the success of his latest album, IGOR. On Monday, Tyler received his first platinum plaque when RIAA announced that "EARFQUAKE" was added to their gold and platinum certification list. Also, Flower Boy's "See You Again" featuring Kali Uchis reached platinum status the same day as "EARFQUAKE."
Tyler is set to kick off his IGOR Tour on Aug. 30 while Rocky's first performance since returning to the states will take place on Sunday when he headlines Real Street Festival in California.
