Overnight, Miley Cyrus shared a new song in which the moving on is the central theme.

The track, produced by Mike Will Made-It and Andrew Wyatt, is titled "Slide Away" and arrives following her split from Liam Hemsworth. "Once upon a time, it was paradise," Cyrus sings in the opening moments. "Once upon a time, I was paralyzed."

"Hi all," Hemsworth said earlier this month in an Instagram post of an ocean view. "Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward."

Hemsworth added that the decision "is a private matter" and no additional comments would be given to media outlets. "Any reported quotes attributed to me are false," he said.

In a series of posts one day earlier, Cyrus—though she didn't specifically mention Hemsworth or the relationship—pointed to a "new day, new adventure" and noted the inevitability of change.

Mike Will and Andrew Wyatt also contributed to Cyrus' May-released EP SHE IS COMING, the first in a trilogy, featuring the singles "Mother's Daughter" and "D.R.E.A.M." with Ghostface Killah.

Cyrus brought several of those songs to the stage, as well as Lil Nas X and father Billy Ray Cyrus, during her headlining Glastonbury set back in June.
