For this freestyle, K.R.I.T. attacked the instrumental for nearly two minutes. He twisted words in ways only the Mississippi native could do, creating smooth metaphors and slick punch lines. He starts off with braggadocious bars that flaunt the spoils of his career.
"This here Rollie real, your house cost my grill, my house ain't your crib," K.R.I.T. raps. As the beat inches toward the drop, he follows its lead by speeding up his flow. Using his familiar staccato cadence, Big K.R.I.T. drops off lyrics that hit both the listener and the instrumental perfectly.
"Chevy caught up with the foreign like 'motherfuck your engine'/I just paid your pension off in Magic City/she a real magician/rabbit in the hat, look at where she hid it?" K.R.I.T. raps before slowing his pace back to the normal. It's at this point when K.R.I.T. slightly touches on the ebbs and flow of his career. Despite having an elite skill set, the majority of K.R.I.T.'s career was stifled by his label issues. The rapper let out this aggression on the beat.
"Still whipping up a batch/On lock like a latch," he rhymes. "Got a post move with a hook shot/got 'em boxed in like a match/Spent enough time underground I'm like motherfucka where the hatch?"
K.R.I.T's freestyle follows the release of his latest album, K.R.I.T. IZ HERE. This is his second studio album since parting ways with Def Jam Records. The rapper is now releasing music through his own independent label, Multi Alumni.
