Six months after releasing his TDT project, Big K.R.I.T. is back with his fourth studio album K.R.I.T. IZ HERE. The Mississippi-bred rapper announced the release last month, confirming it was a sequel to his 2010 breakout mixtape, K.R.I.T. Wuz Here.

"For me, it was about also showcasing that I can go different places. It either be singing, live instrumentation, and how I sometimes want to use my vocals as more of an instrument, than just being on the record," he said about the project. "Also, tackling certain issues, or how I feel about certain social topics and things like that in my music, but not in a way that people are accustomed to me hearing. We got a few other features that I'm super excited about, but knowing that K.R.I.T. Wuz Here, the 10 year anniversary was going to be next year. It was important I let people know that K.R.I.T. is here now."

The project spans 19 tracks, including the previously released singles “Addiction,” “Energy,” “Learned From Texas,” and “K.R.I.T. Here.” The album also includes appearances by J. Cole, Lil Wayne, Saweetie, Baby Rose, and Rico Love.
