While we have nothing to offer regarding that, Friday did bring the release of Work in Progress' first two original singles, "Dream Eater" and "Waste My Time." The guitar-driven tracks see the band, featuring series star Gaten Matarazzo on vocals alongside Sabrina Matarazzo, capitalizing on the good press their live clips garnered back in 2017.

Stream both tracks below via Apple Music. As the band recently announced, they're poised for a run of shows in August including stops in Philadelphia and Cleveland. Click here for the full tour routing.

Speaking with Billboard in a chat published Friday, Gaten said the band came together "pretty much by accident." While the two new tracks boast different lead vocalists, Gaten explained how the diversity of each member's musical tastes helps make for better songs.

"We all know that we all have different styles and we embrace that," he said. "There really isn't anything in-check other than the fact that we make sure we each relatively have the same amount of songs for the gig." For Gaten personally, the two big ones in terms of immediate inspiration are Green Day and Pearl Jam.

Soon, Gaten will be a guest on First We Feast's Truth or Dab alongside Stranger Things co-star Caleb McLaughlin.

Stranger Things fans were previously met with a musical project from another series star, with Finn Wolfhard's Calpurnia releasing their debut EP Scout through Royal Mountain Records, which is notably home to PUP and Alvvays. Per a recent update to the band's Instagram, performances scheduled for this summer have been called off due to "scheduling issues." The band, however, is currently still "rocking, writing, playing, listening and most of all, loving your support."
