New York-based experimentalist DJ ST. THOMAS is just about to release his brand new single, "FODDER" (due July 16), with his debut EP, MATRIMONY, to follow later in the summer. The new single plays out like a warped, futuristic piece of psychedelia and that erupts on the chorus into a tightly wound piece of electro funk. While his colourful production plays out, the dreamy vocals warn us of the perils of social media and the effect it's having on our relationships with others. The more connected we have to those around us, the less we value those connections, leaving us with disposable relationships and a pretty lonely existence.

Speaking with Complex via email, DJ ST. THOMAS told us: "MATRIMONY as a whole explores the concept of transitory love and 'FODDER' illustrates how the abundance of connection in the digital age can be so easily discarded."
