Avicii’s family and team have announced the release of the late producer’s posthumous album, titled Tim. The lead single “SOS” is set to release on April 10.

According to a statement from his team, at the time of his death, Avicii was close to finishing a new album and had amassed “a collection of nearly finished songs, along with notes, email conversations and text messages about the music.” Songwriters that the Swedish musician had been working with have continued to work on the album, attempting to align the new music with his vision.

Tim is slated to drop on June 6. Net proceeds will go to the Tim Bergling Foundation, a nonprofit Avicii's family started to raise money for suicide prevention and organizations combatting mental illness.

Avicii, whose name is Tim Bergling, died at the age of 28 on April 20, 2018. It was later found out that he had taken his own life in his hotel room in Oman. He was one of the most popular EDM artists of all-time and consistently in the top five of Forbes’ annual highest-paid DJs list. In 2016, Avicii announced that he was retiring from touring because of health issues, including acute pancreatitis, partially due to excessive drinking. He also had his gallbladder and appendix removed in 2014. The DJ’s last album was 2015’s Stories.
