UPDATED Mar. 29, 12:54 p.m. EST: Melii addressed the situation involving her, Meek Mill, and Tory Lanez in an interview with Hot 97's Nessa. When the host suggested the tensions could be due to a misunderstanding, the Harlem native responded that, "at the end of the day, all three of us are somewhat connected."

"They way that it could've been handled is that...my generation, we just take things on to social media instead of thinking before we speak," she continued. "It's a natural thing to go into social media. We all have each other's number."

Melii didn't go into further specific details about what led to her decision or what could've upset Meek, but she did admit that "all three parties were wrong on certain things." The rapper also implied that she wouldn't mind an in-person conversation between all three parties to settle any tension.

New Yorker Melii dropped her debut album PhAses on Wendesday, showcasing the breadth of her talents not too long after a supporting slot for Meek Mill during his Motivation Tour. The record hasn't arrived without a little controversy, however.

In celebrating the release of the project, Tory Lanez made a post on his Instagram congratulating Melii and welcoming her to his One Umbrella label.

"I'm so proud of you," Lanez wrote on his Instagram.

Moments later Meek Mill purportedly commented on the post, writing "This a corny ass move on both y'all end." The comment, if it was in fact real, has since been deleted.

On her Instagram Story, Melii addressed the situation. "It's easy to judge n argue about things that aren't true n seem a certain way because of social media," she wrote. "But not once have I bashed Meek or even plan on doing so." She explained why she left the Motivation Tour, and stated that she "never intended to snake anyone."

Speaking on Meek's alleged comments directly, she added, "I still respect Meek n off of emotions it's okay to react the way he did but if we all take a step down n see it for was [sic] it is, I'm not the crazy bitch or the ungrateful person u want to make urself believe I am. My decision with going with Umbrella was based of an offer that was already there from years ago n wanting to better my craft n where I felt I belonged."

A picture of an alleged comment made by Melii started circulating, with her responding to the comments in a vastly different tone. "I AINT WANNA FUCK HIM. HE KEPT SAYING I WAS ACTING BOUJEEE THAT I WAS ANOTHER NICKI MINAJ AND WHEN ID SPEAK UO [sic] FOR MYSELF HE WOULD CALL ME CRAZY," she reportedly commented.

It appears as though Melii is doing her best to deescalate a possible beef, especially as Tory Lanez has continually proved in 2019 that he's eager to take shots when he has an opportunity to.
