Lisa Van Allen, one of R. Kelly's accusers who detailed his alleged abuse in the Lifetime series Surviving R. Kelly, told Vlad TV the singer admitted to her that he had a sexual relationship with Aaliyah's mother

According to Allen, Kelly told her that while he was grooming Aaliyah he was simultaneously having sex with her mom, Diane Haughton. "He actually stayed at their home in Detroit and her mother actually was sexually attracted to him as well," Allen explained. "He said when Aaliyah went to sleep, he would go in the living room and him and her would do sexual acts on the couch while Aaliyah was sleeping in the bedroom."

Among the many revelations that Surviving R. Kelly shed light on was Kelly's relationship with the late Aaliyah, who was 15 years old when she and Kelly got married. Many witnesses who spent time around the couple at the beginning of their relationship confirmed that they saw the two being intimate with one another, sometimes in public, and that Kelly believed he got the underage singer pregnant. Kelly’s former tour manager and personal assistant Demetrius Smith said that he explicitly remembers the singer worrying about Aaliyah and ultimately admitting, "I think she’s pregnant."

Allen corroborated this incident, claiming that Kelly told her Aaliyah was pregnant at the time of their marriage. Allen also confirmed that Kelly falsified paperwork to allow Aaliyah to claim she was 18 so he could avoid being charged if news broke that she was pregnant. "The reason [Kelly and Aaliyah] got married was because they felt like if he was married to her and if he said he thought she was 18, that he wouldn’t be charged if someone found out she was pregnant until they were able to get the abortion and get [the marriage] annulled," she said.

Although Allen repeatedly acknowledged that while this may prove to be untrue, "this came out of his mouth," she said. "I could take a lie detector test to this, this is what he told me."

Allen formerly spoke on Kelly's sexual preferences in the bedroom, telling the hosts of the Breakfast Club, "I will say that there has been times he wanted penetration himself. It was from a female, but still, but I mean..."

In addition to the Aaliyah-related takeaways Allen shed light on, she also confirmed that Kelly told her about the sexually abusive relationship he allegedly had with his sister. The singer reportedly told Allen his older sister molested him when they were children.
