Royce Da 5'9" is back with a politically driven new single titled "Field Negro." Following his recent spat with Tory Lanez, he's made it clear that he's not afraid to call out rappers by name when he feels it necessary to, and "Field Negro" is no different. Calling out those not taking a moment to address the injustice so many still face, Royce has taken shots at Kanye West, Wale, and Tory Lanez on the newly released song.

"I did it my way without all the complainin' / And all the whinin' all day like Kanye or Wale," he raps on the second verse before using "gay" as a derogatory term two lines in a row. "I'm not here for the crown nor Tory Lanez cheddar / I'm here for respect or else I'm willin' take off the belt / And whoop a young n***a's ass with it like James Evans."

Over the gentle instrumental, which gradually evolves as the song unfolds, Royce also takes a moment to call out the Los Angeles Lakers in the fourth and final verse of the song. "Fuck a Laker, I could never play for the Pistons at the expense of creatin' division," he continues. The self-produced song is clearly intended to be a showcase of his admittedly impressive skills as a rapper, likely in an attempt to get Tory Lanez to keep his mouth closed.
