Offset Says Trump's Government Shutdown Is 'Some Slave Sh*t'

"We’re going through a f*cked up time," Offset told 'Esquire' in a pointedly political moment.

Offset seems to finally be listening to his wife as he took a page out of Cardi's book and bashed the President for the current government shutdown.

"Seeing people talk about how they can't pay their bills but they have to work. That's some slave shit," The Migo said during an interview with Esquire. "I don't really get into it politics because I'm usually on the other side of it. There’s black mothers with jobs, and now you take their jobs away. And then the president, I don't really want to speak on him but he's rich. Make a n***a respect you, because a n***a don't respect you. He's rich and has these folks struggling."

As he referenced in his response, Offset usually lets Cardi B handle the political deep-dives. But with America experiencing the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, Offset let it be known that he would be remiss if he didn't comment on something that affects the country as a whole. As a result, he stepped away from the copious Patek references for a minute to remind his fans that social boundaries don't protect them from (most of) Trump's politics.

"We’re going through a fucked up time," Offset told the publication. "Both sides. Black and the white. You know why? The government shutdown. Black people aren’t working, white folks aren’t working. It's everybody."
