Busta Rhymes didn't get his year off to the best start, at least that's what a video from the early hours of New Year's Day would imply. As TMZ reports, Busta found himself in what could have become a street brawl after the rapper flirted with someone in Times Square's wife. Reportedly, she only said "hi" to Busta, but whatever he said in response clearly riled up the husband.
In the video the imposing Busta can be heard yelling, "C'mon pussy." It's hard to make out exactly what happened with how many people block the view of the camera, but Busta looks as though he's ready to start throwing punches at any moment. The two grab each other at one point, but eventually security manages to break up the altercation. There were reportedly no arrests made.
Before the year ended, Busta posted a video in which he called out his former business partner Rasheem "Bubba" Barker. He said Barker pretended to be his manager for quite some time, pocketing money from events he had no idea were even booked in the first place. In 2016 alone, Barker took an alleged $60,000 in earnings from Busta. Barker's actions landed the rapper in a lawsuit, which resulted in a $28,478 judgment after he failed to appear at a show Barker had booked without his knowledge.
