The end of the year wouldn’t be the same without Skillz’s annual Rap Up series, where the ghostwriter-turned-rapper recaps the past year via headline shout-outs and musings on pop culture happenings.

Skillz wraps the year up over an interpolation of Lil Duval's song “Smile Bitch,” kicking the track off by spitting, “Skillz, you know goddamn well you cannot do the 2018 year without—we gon’ start this thing off right, Duval and Skillz in the house, come on.” The two then memorialize the year, starting with Mo’Nique’s boycott of Netflix, Will Smith joining Instagram, with shout-outs to the Eagles, and the viral moment where kids were voluntarily eating Tide Pods.

He talks about various milestones and moments throughout 2018, including Black Panther’s major success, Nas writing an open letter to Kelis, Bill Cosby going to jail, the feud between Drake and Pusha-T, Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly’s beef, Beyoncé’s phenomenal performance at Coachella, and Meek Mill’s return.

He dwelled on Kardashian drama, including Kim Kardashian and Kanye West having another kid, Kylie Jenner having her first baby, Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian’s troubles, and Tristan Thompson’s inability to remain faithful to Khloe Kardashian, and Ye’s Trump era.

Skillz’s rap up will certainly jog your memories about everything that happened this year. Listen to the full track below.
