In preparation for his upcoming project, Hunger Games 3, Alamo Records artist Rod Wave connects with Moneybagg Yo for “Feel the Same Way.”

The song, which is produced by Drum Dummie and D Major, finds Rod Wave discussing the camaraderie between he and his homies, emphasizing the importance of establishing and maintaining these bonds in order to make it through tough and trying times.

The 19 year-old Florida native’s decision to enlist the “Say Na” rapper is the result of the former listening to the latter’s catalog while on tour. "I'd been playing [Moneybagg Yo’s mixtape]2 Heartless on repeat when I was on the road for shows the week before making 'Feel the Same Way,'” Wave told Complex. “After I recorded the track and heard it, I was like, 'Man, Moneybagg would snap on this song.' My management reached out and I FaceTime'd Moneybagg, and we clicked.”

The third installment of his Hunger Games series finds Rod Wave touching on a plethora of different topics. "I want people to know and feel my music from their core. You're going to relate emotionally to this project. It has happy songs, sad songs, street songs, songs about struggle, songs about relationships, songs about success, songs about critics, songs about winning, etc. No matter what you're going through, there is a song of Rod Wave that will get you through it! It gets greater later! This project is all about God first and staying focused!”

This collaboration comes a little over a month after the release of Moneybagg Yo’s Reset, which boasted features from Future, J. Cole, and Kodak Black.

Stream “Feel the Same Way” below and check out Hunger Games 3 this Friday (Dec. 7).
