Decatur, Georgia singer-songwriter Jacquees has never been shy about flaunting his talents, taking plenty of opportunities to prove his abilities, but his latest claim is still a bold one. "I just wanna let everybody know that I'm the king of R&B right now," Jacquees said in a video he's posted online. "For this generation, I understand who done came and who done did that and that and that, but now it's my time. Jacquees the king of R&B."

Understandably, it didn't take long for people to take issue with his comments, and some have suspected that both Trey Songz and Ty Dolla Sign have each responded to Jacquees' claim with a simple tweet. It's worth noting that Jacquees has worked with both artists on numerous occasions in the past.

The 24-year-old singer has definitely done well for himself this year, even going so far as to drop $100,000 in cash for his mother's wedding, but even J. Holiday has taken issue with his statement. "That bullshit that man said," Holiday said in a video he shared. "There's three kings of R&B... the first one sold 20 million on the first album [...] The second king of R&B, is from Chicago." Someone might wanna tell him about the general thoughts on R. Kelly in recent times, but regardless Holiday is clearly not happy with Jacquees.

Posting on his Instagram account, Tyrese had a lot to say about Jacquees. "Let me put you up on what's really movin' bruh... This ain't hip-hop my n***a," he wrote. "The young kings of your generation that's been runnin' shit is 1) Chris Brown and 2) Trey Songz." Pleasure P, meanwhile, defended Jacquees and challenged everyone involved in the conversation to put their money where their mouth is.
