Gucci Mane absolutely killed in 2017, assisting a slew of hit records and dropping a handful of full-length projects, like Droptopwop, Mr. Davis, and El Gato: The Human Glacier. But when it came to 2018, Guwop decided to cut back to put his energy into only one solo album: the newly released Evil Genius.

“This is my first album of the year. It's my only album of the year and I did it on purpose," Gucci told Zane Lowe about the project. "I was wanting to take my time and chill. I didn't want to be in studio with a deadline, like I got to make an album and it got to come out at this time […] This album was like, let's find the best beat, make the best song and put it out."

Evil Genius includes the previously released songs “Solitaire” featuring Migos and Lil Yachty, “Wake Up in the Sky” with Bruno Mars and Kodak Black, as well as “BiPolar” featuring Quavo.

You can listen to the album now on all major streaming platforms.

During his interview with Lowe, Gucci also spoke about his long-awaited Glacier Boyz project with Migos and Lil Yachty. Though he didn't reveal a release date, Guwop reassured fans the effort would arrive in 2019.

“With the Glacier Boyz, you know, we just want to make the music doper,” he said. “It's going to get done. It don't take us long to record. We've been in the studio, but just like...look for it early in the spring.”
